The format (don't skip this)
- Clan crest: 16 × 12 pixels, 256-colour BMP
- Ally crest: 8 × 12 pixels, 256-colour BMP

Crest ideas that actually read at 16×12
A crest is tiny, so simple and bold always beats detailed and busy. Themes that work well:
- One strong symbol — a skull, dragon, wolf, crown or rune, centred with empty space around it.
- Clan initials — one or two big letters in a heavy font.
- High contrast — a bright shape on a dark background (or the reverse); avoid similar tones that blur together.
- Faction colours — match your crest to your clan's identity so allies spot you fast in mass PvP.
Keep it to two or three colours. Fine gradients and thin lines disappear at this size.
